Have you ever walked through your front door after working an all day shift just to find your house was left looking as if a tornado had struck with the family dog still holding your favorite shoe in his mouth? How do you not only handle a disobedient dog but learn to cope with the behavior? You don't. Look, we've all been there. Dogs that jump, pull, bark, bite, chew, dig and even stick their tongue out at you behind your back are just not a lot of fun. You can however, bring a disobedient dog under control--and it's a lot easier than you think. First, you will need the following items in order to get started:
Exercise - Exercise is the first step in dealing with a disobedient dog. Most of the disobedient dogs that I've dealt with had a lot of energy and not enough exercise to burn it off. Dogs need to run and play and chase. A dog with a lot of energy is not going to get tired walking around the block. If you can't provide it yourself, dog daycare is a great way to give your dog exercise.
Crate Training - Crate training is important for dogs that get into a lot of trouble. A dog that digs, chews and destroys needs to be managed. When you are not there to watch your dog, your dog should be confined to a crate. Exercise is extremely important for dogs that spend time in crates.
